Women use make up to enhance their looks so that they can be admired by people, and most importantly the opposite sex. However, there are certain make ups we wear that make us look older and unattractive.
Wearing foundation that does not match your skin color: Many women end up looking they have a floating head or they are wearing a mask because their foundation does not match their face and neck. When you go too light it makes your skin appear flat and lifeless. Instead of natural, it will look like the makeup is just sitting on your skin, which can make your face look older. But if you go too dark, you are not highlighting your features, but dragging them down and adding a dullness and heaviness that is just as aging.
Wearing a lipstick that is too dark: As you age, you lose definition in your lips, so to appear more youthful, you’ll want to wear a lipstick that adds fullness. A dark color does just the opposite, making your lips look smaller, less plump, and less highlighted. Instead, choose something in a mauve or pink tone. Adding a layer of gloss is helpful as well. Many women feel like they are too old to wear lip gloss, but a shiny finish will actually add a youthful plumpness.
Finishing With Powder: The skin of younger women glows and radiates light. Powders diminish this lighting effect and tend to emphasize lines in the skin. The thin lines that appear after applying powder start looking like wrinkles and make your skin look dark, which eventually makes you look older than your age.
Wearing Black Eyeliner: Don’t skip the eyeliner! Eyeliner is a great way to emphasize your eyes and make them look more open. In most cases, you should choose brown over black, since black can appear very harsh. When applying eyeliner, you should always make sure the color fades into your skin. You don’t want harsh lines; instead, you want the eyeliner to appear smooth and blended.
Smiling while applying the blush: Blush is a wonderful tool that normally helps freshen your face and flatter the colour of your skin. But when you applied in the wrong way, it can add age. For example, usually a lot of ladies apply their blush while smiling, which is a great technique when you are young, but with age, skin gets more saggy and then you need to change the technique of applying your blush. Instead, apply colour on the highest point on your cheekbones, but don’t go too close to the nose, and then, lift it upward with a brush that’s large enough to cover the whole cheekbone. Also, avoid dramatic blush shades which can make you look like a clown. Use neutral rosy or coral shades instead, they look more natural and make your look more youthful.
Using Super thick formula of mascara: This type of mascara makes clumps, you can’t separate your lashes easily and all this makeup effort can make your lashes look very unflattering and can even age you.
Make up should be applied properly so that it can add to your beauty.
