Your skin needs to be cared for, it is not only your face that needs all the pampering. The skin of the body needs cleansing, exfoliation and hydration to keep it healthy. To maintain an healthy skin, you need to do the following:
Use gentle soap for your skin. Using harsh soap can make the skin dry. Don’t use hot water, lukewarm water is best for the skin. Take a shower instead of taking a bath as bathing tend to dehydrate the skin and robb the skin of its natural oils.
Rinse your body well after your shower and pat your body dry gently with a towel, don’t rub vigorously to dry it.
Moisturize your body with a good moisturizing body cream after drying off the water on your body and make this a daily habit. This will help keep your body hydrated always.
Exfoliate your skin two times a week to remove dead cells from the skin. Exfoliation makes the skin smooth.
When going out in the sun, make sure you use a sun cream to protect your skin. Use a sun cream with an SPF suitable for your skin type. During the hottest period of the day, it is advisable to stay out of the sun.
Keep your skin hydrated by drinking lots of water daily. Drink between 8 – 10 glasses of water a day.
Eat a balanced diet. Incorporate fruits and vegetables into your daily diet. A balanced diet will help keep your skin beautiful and healthy.
