Below are steps to take when your computer system has been infected by a virus.
SAVE AND BACK UP YOUR DATA
Before you begin the process, make sure you save all your important data in case your system will have to be formatted as this will help you from losing valuable information.
USE YOUR ANTIVIRUS TO SCAN YOUR SYSTEM
Normally you should have an antivirus program, but if you do not or what you have is fake, you should download an antivirus program that suits the virus problem you have and scan through your system and remove the files.
REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM
You should reboot your system in SAFE MODE. For a virus to do anything it has to be run. With SAFE MODE only loading important files for window to run, which in turn stops most viruses from working or been activated, this will allow you to point them out and delete and remove them.
SCAN YOUR SYSTEM
Now you should use your antivirus program to run a scan to identify and delete any virus seen and noticed.
RUN A TEST ON YOUR COMPUTER
To know if your system is no more infected, you turn on your system and test to see how it performs and if it has any of the previous infections. If it works and performs properly and normally its functions and programs, then the infection is gone.
