The woman’s body occurs in a range of shapes. Female figures are typically narrower at the waist than at the bust and the hips. The bust, waist, and hips are called inflection points, and the ratios of their
circumferences are used to define the basic body shapes.
Since time immemorial, attention has been focused on the female body as a source of aesthetic pleasure, sexual attraction, fertility, and reproduction in most human societies and there are, and have been, lots of differences in what should be considered an ideal body shape, both for attractiveness and for health reasons.
Women who have the HOURGLASS body type that most strive for, have their bust and hips are well balanced and a beautifully defined waist. They have gently rounded shoulders that align nicely with their hips. Their waist is obvious and gracefully curves out to their hips. From top to bottom, you are a picture of harmony and balance.

You first gain weight in your bottom and legs flowed by your tummy and upper body. Your waist is your best asset so don’t be afraid to show it off.
The STRAIGHT body shape is also called rectangle or ruler. These people’s hips and bust are balanced and their waist is not very defined. They probably have a bottom that is more flat than round. They tend to gain weight in their torso first and then upper thighs and arms. Their lower legs are always shapely and one of your best assets
As an OVAL body type, you have a large bust, narrow hips, and a full midsection. You have a tendency to gain weight in your stomach, back and upper body. Your waist is undefined and the widest part of your frame. You also have a full, shorter neck and full face. Your buttocks are somewhat flat and your legs are slender. Your shapely legs are your best asset.
Research suggests that apple-shaped women have the highest risk of heart disease, while the hourglass-shaped women have the lowest. Diabetes professionals also say that women with a waist measurement of over 80cm (32 inches) have a higher risk of heart disease due to body fat buildup around the waist, which poses a higher health risk than fat buildup at the hips.
