Singer, Harmonee, dumps label, releases new single
Afro-pop and dancehall singer, Susan Emike Ekwe, known as Harmonee is stirring up things again on the music scene. The light-skinned beauty who signed to HF Music in 2015 has dumped the label and moving on with her own creation.
The singer who once did a collabo with Cynthia Morgan said the separation has no bitter tale around it, saying, “we settled amicably.”
Right on the mic, she has also dropped another single and it seems she won’t be going it alone without something to bargain with in the industry. The single ‘Get Down’, according to her, is a groove song with danceable beat. “There are two things you do when you hear the song, you either listen or dance. I got inspired by the beat the first time I stepped into the studio and when I heard that sound, I just killed”
Talking about her music career, Harmonee took us though the journey and she described it as tedious.
“ Music is not the easiest business to do because most of the time people only start to take you seriously when you have a hit,” she said.
Continuing: “People tend to believe you should be famous as soon as you start music, forgetting that it takes time to make it in any career. But so far I am grateful to God, I left my record label in 2016, and this 2017 is going to be a great year but I pray to God I will do better as an independent artiste”.
