Leave-in conditioners are different from regular conditioner because they are not rinsed away after application on the hair like regular conditioner.
They are used to soften hair, protect hair against hot styling instruments and used to reduce tangling.
To control the ingredients that go into your hair, you can make your own leave-in conditioner by following these simple methods.
1. Get a clean spray bottle and add 1 part conditioner to 3 parts water. Mix it together and spray it onto your hair, then comb and style. This makes the hair softer and reduces tangling.
2. In a clean spray bottle add 1 table spoon of apple cider vinegar to 1 cup (236ml) of water. Mix and spray while massaging it onto your hair before combing and styling it.
3. To a cup (236ml) of water add half a cup (118ml) of aloe vera juice, a tablespoon of coconut oil, the juice of half a lime, cut and squeeze 5 vitamin E capsule oil, 2 tablespoon of vegetable glycerine and 2 drops of tea tree oil.
Shake the mixture and spray on your hair. This daily leave in conditioner prevents the hair from drying and also helps prevent dandruff.
4. Coconut cream leave in conditioner. This is a combination of coconut oil, avocado oil and aloe vera gel. Add 30ml of coconut oil, 60ml of aloe vera and 1 teaspoon of avocado oil, mix it together and use on damp or dry hair.
